A middle class white guy comes to grips with Peak Oil, Climate Change, Mass Extinction, Population Overshoot and the demise of the American Lifestyle. Heart-felt and poignant, this documentary will touch you as few can. It will scare you, and it will make you think. Though it will also give you hope, it will leave you with no easy answers. This documentary does a thorough job of presenting the pending mega-crisis in all of its aspects, and then probes the causes, both technological and social.
Film approx 2 hours and stick around for discussion afterwards if you would like to.
When we watched this film prior to putting on a village screening we all found it an incredibly complex film. It is a relentless monologue by one man as he searches for understanding. The way the film has been made is almost exhausting to watch, challenging and unlike any film I've ever seen before. I'm glad I watched it but don't come expecting a gentle evening - Rowena's personal review of the film!
